FAQs
How do I enrol and pay for classes?
Currently I accept bank transfers or online credit card payments. If you wish to sign up for a class, please fill in the enquiry form or get in touch and I will reply as soon as I can. I will then send you a link with my payment details.
Please note your class confirmation is not secured until payment is made.
Do you offer classes for adult dogs?
At this moment in time I do not, but I hope to one day in the future. If you would like any advice on a suitable trainer then I am happy to provide some trusted recommendations.
Some establishments offer a 8 week course but yours is only 4 weeks?
Time is precious, and life is busy. I believe I am able to equip you with the skills you need for a good foundation for puppy parenthood. I’m always happy to answer any curly questions or hear your concerns.
Please get in contact if you have any queries.
What do the puppy classes cover?
My aim is to give you a very basic understanding of canine etiquette. How to shape their natural behaviours into a “desirable “outcome. You will learn basic commands, with tips and tricks along the way. If you are after more advanced tricks or agility, I’m happy to recommend other local trainers who specialise in these areas.
My puppy has not had all of their vaccinations, can they still attend?
Yes of course!
My puppy is older than 16 weeks, can they still attend?
By the time a puppy is 20 weeks old, their brain is around 80% developed. In doggy terms this is called the “critical development period”. I call these first few weeks the “malleable” weeks. After 20 weeks of age, a puppy’s learning style changes and requires a different way of teaching. If your puppy is more than 16 weeks of age, I am more than happy to recommend other trainers who would best suit what you’re looking for.
Where are Dear Dog classes located?
Currently I am only providing in home classes.
My aim is to expand one day, but for now, I am a one woman show!
